AC/DC tribute

One of the country’s top AC/DC tribute bands will venture north early next month to make their debut in Shetland.

DC/79 will play the Symbister Hall in Whalsay on Friday 6th February followed by a show at Norscot Angling Club in Lerwick the following night.

Last year saw AC/DC enjoying an amazing resurgence in popularity thanks to a sell-out world tour and their first number one album for 28 years with Black Ice.

Do not expect DC/79 to play any tracks from the last album, or any album post-1970s, however, as their show focuses entirely on the era which featured original lead singer Bon Scott.

Support for both gigs comes from up-and-coming local rockers Tequila Mockingbird.

Tickets for the Symbister Hall are available from Irvine’s Shop in Whalsay and High Level Music in Lerwick, while tickets for the Norscot date can be purchased from the venue and also High Level Music.
