Total to consult

Total UK is launching a public consultation next week as part of the environmental impact assessment into its proposed development of the Laggan and Tormore gas fields west of Shetland.

The project would involve the construction of a gas processing plant at Sullom Voe Terminal and the laying of pipelines in and around the isles.

A public meeting will be held at the Lerwick Hotel next Wednesday from 7.30pm to 9pm.

A Total spokesman said residents will have the opportunity to hear about the Laggan Tormore project first hand and ask any questions they might have about the development. The meeting is open to everyone.
