Petition grows

More than 1,000 people have now signed a petition for a second am-bulance, started by Ollaberry resi-dent Malcolm Thomson.

Mr Thomson said he has been delighted with the response to his petition, copies of which are now in most country shops as well as D&G Leslie, Crystal Clear Holistic, Clive’s Record Shop, Rod & Line and Tesco in Lerwick, and in the MP and MSP constituency office.

Three hundred signatures were gathered from a three-hour stint Mr Thomson and a “small army of helpers” did outside Lerwick’s Co-op, and he hopes the final total could reach 3,000.
