Whalsay were the winners of this year’s G&S Flooring Premier League after a resounding 11-0 victory over Unst at Harbison Park on Saturday.

The celebrations went on late into the night following the win which secured the Bonnie Isles team the top prize in Shetland football for the first time since 2001.

The trophy was presented by Shetland Football Association chairman Magnus Flaws to Whalsay captain Karl Williamson and veteran Michael Williamson, who announced his retirement from football.
