Meanwhile, the under-20 women’s long jump event saw Eilidh Peterson take silver and Allie Elphinstone take bronze. Competing alongside her teammates, Megan Smith took bronze in the under-17 women’s event.
The afternoon saw the Shetland athletes compete in the 60m sprint. After a tough round of heats, Lee Williamson took silver in the senior men’s final, with Haydn Thomason finishing just behind him to take the gold in the under-20 men’s event.
