Schools in north and west Mainland closed for last day of term

Schools across the north and west of the Shetland Mainland will be closed because of the snowy weather on Tuesday, the last day of term, while the rest will be open, according to the schools service.

Those that will remain shut are: Aith Junior High School, Happyhansel Primary School, Skeld Primary School, Sandness Primary School, North Roe Primary School, Urafirth Primary School, Ollaberry Primary School, Brae High School, Olnafirth Primary School, Mossbank Primary School and Whiteness Primary School.

However Whites Coaches will not be doing a secondary school run to the Anderson High School. The Eric Gray Centre will be open, although staff are looking at individual transport arrangements.
