Outdoor hockey season to start next week

Shetland Ladies Hockey Association’s outdoor season begins on Monday with teams starting out on their venture to claim the highly-acclaimed Association Rosebowl.

The association, in accordance with FIHA and SHU, will be adopting the new rules which should prove extremely interesting and challenging for players and officials alike. Players are reminded that all games are to start promptly with the home team completing a match report.

Fixtures

Monday: Delting v Scalloway at 6.30pm (Simon Skinner/Whalsay rep); Zetland v Whalsay at 7.50pm (Simon Skinner/Whalsay rep).

Thursday: Burra v Spurs at 6.30pm (Simon Skinner/Delting rep); Juniors v Delting at 7.50pm (Simon Skinner/Spurs rep).

Moulder Memorial

The annual social, charity Moulder Memorial mixed hockey tournament will be held on Saturday 24th April at the Midway Pitch in Brae.

The tournament will be seven-a-side, half pitch with a maximum of four male players (one in goals) allowed on the pitch at one time. Teams are asked to muster at 1.45pm to receive tournament rules and fixtures.

Teams are asked to collect £5 per player with the money raised going towards the Shetland Stroke Support Group and SOFT (Support Organisation For Trisomy).
