Four months in prison for man who failed to carry out community service order

A man who failed to carry out a community service order was sentenced to four months in prison when he appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court today.

Dale Henry, 28, of Nederdale, Lerwick, had had the order to carry out the work imposed last August after he assaulted a man in Da Wheel Bar on 25th April last year, repeatedly punching him on the head to his injury.

Although defence solicitor Tommy Allan said Henry was now willing to carry out the work, Sheriff Graeme Napier was not convinced and sent Henry to jail.
