A man charged with carrying out an assault so serious it left his victim permanently disfigured appeared again in court today.
The case against George Michael Watt, 45, of Murrayston, Lerwick, had been continued following an initial appearance at Lerwick Sheriff Court last week.
Appearing in private again, he made no plea or declaration and was fully committed for trial. He was remanded in custody.
The town centre was a hive of activity this afternoon with Living Lerwick’s street parade the centre of attraction.
