Misguided madness

Congratulations to all tunnel campaigners, from in and outwith Whalsay. You have just succeeded in securing our community nothing but a pipe dream, thus giving the SIC, at this time of cutbacks, the perfect opportunity to invest nothing in the future development of our island.

A vote of 11-10 is a massive gamble and all just to keep a terminal out of the North Voe, which would have done nothing but enhance the future development of this community. In our lifetime we stand more chance of doing a Boston Two Step on the moon than ever seeing a tunnel built to Whalsay.

Unless this madness can be overturned may God forgive your misguidedness, because I doubt if the future generation of Whalsay folk ever will.
