Dangerous driving charges for young men caught doing more than 100mph

Two young men have been charged with dangerous driving after being caught doing more than 100mph in separate incidents at the weekend.

Police clocked the car being driven by an 18-year-old travelling at 105mph on the A970 at Tingwall at just after midnight on Saturday.

They also recorded the car being driven by a 20-year-old on the A970 at Fladdabister shortly before 9am on Saturday as doing 104mph.

Reports on both incidents will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in Lerwick.
