Farmer’s union vice-president in court accused of assaulting woman

Vice-president of the NFU Shetland branch Cecil Eunson appeared from custody in court alongside a woman he is accused of assaulting today. She in turn was in the dock facing a charge of assaulting him.

Mr Eunson, 58, of Griesta Farm, Tingwall, is charged with assaulting Helen Lisk, seizing her by the wrists and holding her down in a chair, all to her injury, on 7th August at his home.

Ms Lisk, 27, of Arheim, Lerwick, is alleged to have assaulted Mr Eunson by repeatedly striking him on the head to his injury.

The case was continued without plea until 25th August.
