Hockey girls beat Granite City 1-0 to reach first round of Scottish Cup

The Shetland women’s hockey team beat Granite City Wanderers II 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in the preliminary round match in the Activcity Women’s District Cup.

Sarah Grogan, the top scorer in this year’s Shetland outdoor season, scored the only goal of the match, which took place at the Aberdeen Sports Village.

Shetland now play Aberdeen GSFP in the first round on 24th October, after the draw was made this week.
