An Aberdeen man was remanded in custody today after appearing in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court on drugs charges.
James McIver, 40, of Morrison Avenue in the city’s Sheddocksley area, appeared on a petition alleging a contravention of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
He made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination. He is expected to appear in court again next week.
The town centre was a hive of activity this afternoon with Living Lerwick’s street parade the centre of attraction.
