Four festive north boat sailings to call in at Kirkwall

NorthLink has announced that four of its direct sailings between Lerwick and Aberdeen will now call at Kirkwall over the forthcoming festive period.

The southbound service on Monday 27th December and Monday 3rd January will be affected, as will the northbound service on Tuesday 28th December and Tuesday 4th January.

NorthLink said the Scottish goverment had agreed to the company’s request for the additional Orkney stops.

NorthLink also confirmed this week that all three of its passenger ferries would undergo “in-water” surveys early next year, with the regular service being subject to amendments during February. Full details are on the company’s website at www.northlinkferries.co.uk/schedulechanges
