1 comment, , by , in Sport

Shetland’s senior netball teams are in Kirkwall this weekend for what is the 30th anniversary of the inter-county fixture.

Both the A and B teams are in action against Orkney tonight while to mark the special occasion a veterans’ match will take place tomorrow morning. That will be followed by a presention and reception in the evening.

The teams have been preparing for the matches and a spokeswoman said the players would like to thank their coaches Valerie Morrison, Judy Fraser and Karen Woods for all their hard work in the build-up to this fixture.
