Thanks for your trust (Tavish Scott)

An enormous thank you to all those who voted to re-elect me as Shetland’s MSP last week. It was a tough night as a Liberal Democrat, but I recognise the trust that has been placed in me once again by local people.

I’ve never taken that for granted, and that will not change. Thank you too for the many messages of support that I’ve received personally or in the constituency office in Lerwick.
The other candidates provided a genuine choice to voters in Shetland and my thanks also to the returning officer, his staff, the polling agents across Shetland, the ferry crews who got the ballot boxes into Lerwick and the local police.

I am determined to do all I can over the next five years to continue being a strong and effective voice at Holyrood for Shetland, no matter the issue.

I look forward to continuing to work closely with a range of local bodies, businesses and individuals. As Shetland faces challenges on funding, transport, health, education and wider public services that approach will be all the more essential.

Tavish Scott
MSP for Shetland
Parliamentary Office,
171 Commercial Street,
Lerwick.
