National success for Shetland fencers
Shetland fencers Sophie Drosso and Stephen Rocks were victorious for Scotland B at the weekend at Inverclyde, beating Ireland, Combined Services and Scottish Fencing’s President’s Select.
Sophie fenced the following day in the foil, coming seventh. Stephen, who fenced on Sunday, won the bronze, losing to the eventual winner.
As of 1st May Shetland Fencing Club has three fencers ranked in the British top 50 – Sophie Drosso at 42 in foil, Chris Rocks at 30 in épée and Stephen Rocks at 29 in sabre.
