A man appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court today charged with drug offences.
Peter Henderson, 30, of Weisdale, appeared from custody on a petition alleging a contravention of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
He made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination before being released on bail.
Yesterday a man was arrested after police seized £3,500-worth of heroin in Lerwick’s Holmsgarth area.
The town centre was a hive of activity this afternoon with Living Lerwick’s street parade the centre of attraction.
