Wednesday night passenger ferry sailing under review

With gale-force southerly winds forecast, NorthLink has announced tomorrow night’s sailing of the Hrossey from Lerwick to Kirkwall and Aberdeen is under review.

An update will be given at 10am tomorrow. This is the first week of the nine-week drydocking period during which only one passenger ferry is running on the Shetland route.

The council attempted but failed to reach a deal with the Scottish government to shorten this.
