Two men and woman in court accused of drugs offences

Two men and a woman have appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court charged with drug offences.

Sarah Gibson, 21, of Sandwick, and Scott Morrison, 24, of Bressay, appeared from custody on petition alleging a contravention of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

They made no plea or declaration and were committed for further examination before being released on bail.

Meanwhile in a separate hearing a man was accused of pushing a class C drug from his home in the town.

Andrew Flaws, 28, of Grodians, is charged with supplying diazepam on Thursday. His case before Honorary Sheriff Eric Peterson was continued without plea until 8th February. He was released on bail.

Earlier today police said they had arrested two men and a woman after seizing suspected cocaine, valium tablets, cannabis, heroin and illegally held prescription drugs at a number of houses in Shetland.
