NorthLink schedule hit by expected bad weather

Bad weather predicted for the next few days has led to a revised schedule of sailings by NorthLink.

The Hrossey was expected to leave Aberdeen at 5pm tomorrow for Kirkwall and Lerwick but due to the forecast and tidal conditions will head direct to Lerwick, where she is due at 3am on Friday. Passengers will not be able to disembark until the normal 7.30am, however.

The freight boat Hildasay will leave Lerwick at 4pm tomorrow, two hours before the scheduled departure, again due to the expected bad tital conditions.

The Hrossey‘s departure from Lerwick on Friday has been delayed and she will now leave at 3am on Saturday, sailing direct to Aberdeen where she is expected at 2pm. The Hildasay is currently scheduled to leave Aberdeen at 4pm for Kirkwall and Lerwick.

NorthLink said normal check-in and embarkation times would apply to all sailings, enabling earlier departure should conditions allow.
