Relay for Life teams get ready for another massive community fund-raising effort

Preparations for this year’s Relay for Life, which raises money for Cancer Research UK, are well under way.

The giant community charity effort already has 55 teams, comprising more than 3,000 people, registered to take part.

The teams of friends, colleagues and anyone interested will be sponsored to take turns making their way round the Clickimin running track on the night of 26th May. The event will have music, food and something for all the family.

Chairwoman Olive MacLeod said: “I want to make sure that people know registration is open and it will remain open right up to the event date. We would love if as many teams as possible could register sooner rather than later as it helps us with the event organisation.

“Also the sooner they register the sooner they will get their registration pack. It can take up to 21 days after registration to receive their pack so anybody registering after the end of April would not be guaranteed to get their T-shirt and information in time for the event.”
