A man who stole £400 from a house in Lerwick has been fined and ordered to pay compensation.
Iqbal Akram, 20, of the town’s Ladies Drive, admitted pilfering the money from an address in Sandveien on 27th March when he appeared in court this morning.
He was fined £300 for the offence and ordered to pay £400 in compensation.
The town centre was a hive of activity this afternoon with Living Lerwick’s street parade the centre of attraction.
