A young man has appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court charged with assault.
Ryan Williamson, 21, of Mossbank, appeared before Sheriff John Rafferty on a petition alleging two assault charges, following an incident in the area on 20th May.
He made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination before being released on bail.
The town centre was a hive of activity this afternoon with Living Lerwick’s street parade the centre of attraction.
