A man was cut free from a car after a crash in the early hours of New Year’s morning.

The passenger suffered minor injuries following the one-vehicle accident at the Tesco roundabout in Lerwick.

Fire appliances from Lerwick and Scalloway attended shortly after 2am, and the man was taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital for treatment.
