Jarl’s squad is on the case
It’s a change from building a galley, but in preparation for the trip to New York members of the 2013 the Jarl’s Squad have spent the last week making suitcases.
They are heading across The Pond to take part in the Tartan Day parade next week and have custom-made the luggage cases to carry and protect their suits.
Each case is emblazoned with a Promote Shetland logo, provided from Art Machine, bearing the message “Proudly Supporting Shetland” and the website address www.shetland.org. Inside there are compartments for the kirtles, boots, helmets axe, shield, wristlets and reindeer skin.
