Whitedale pick up four more Madrid points

Whitedale continued their excellent form in senior football’s Madrid Cup competition with a comfortable victory over Scalloway on Friday and a draw against Spurs on Monday evening.

The prolific Richard Sinclair grabbed another two goals for Whitedale.

Elsewhere the results reflected the inconsistent start to the season by most of the other teams.

Celtic 0, Whalsay 1
A Karl Williamson beauty was the difference between the sides in a close contest.

Thistle 3, Delting 3
Goals for the Jags came from Kevin Teale, an own goal and Calvin Leask. Alistair Williamson, Leighton Flaws and Ross McDougall scored for the Delts.

Whitedale 5, Scalloway 0
Two goals each from Lorne McNiven and Richard Sinclair were enough for a comfortable win for Whitedale. Ali Scott got the other.

Scalloway 5, Celtic 1
Jamie Allan (2) and a Scott Henderson hat trick gave the village side a big win over the Hoops. Robert Smith scored for Celtic.

Whalsay 1, Delting 3
The scorers have not been registered.

Whitedale 0, Spurs 0
Conditions added to what was a poor game of football between arguably the senior league’s best two sides.
