Games girls model new kits

The official Shetland team kit for this year’s NatWest Island Games in Bermuda was revealed at the weekend.

The smart blue tops, sponsored by Malakoff Ltd, were unveiled at the Boat Show at Clickimin and modelled by swimmers Megan Petursdottir and Megan Harper.

Around 45 competitors and officials will compete in eight sports at Bermuda, including Harper, who won two years ago in the Isle of Wight, and her gold medal-winning colleagues Andrea Strachan (swimming), Christine McLean (cycling) and Emma Leask (athletics).

The other sports involved are sailing, golf, shooting, squash and triathlon.
