Gala day

There was a good turnout at the Sandwick School Gala on Saturday, as a cool breeze failed to deter the crowds.

There were plenty of attractions to keep folk entertained including a visit from the SMUHA Jarl’s Squad, the Sandwick Fire Brigade and a fly-by from the new coastguard helicopter Golf Charlie.

 A variety of stalls were doing good business with the barbecue selling out. But one of the most popular attractions was the soak a teacher stand.
