Southbound ferry cancelled

There will be no southbound ferry service tonight following the bad weather.

However, the passenger ferry Hjaltland will depart from Aberdeen at 7pm.

The Hrossey left Aberdeen at 9.30am for Kirkwall, but will be returning from Kirkwall to Aberdeen at 11.45pm.

This is after NorthLink cancelled its sailing from Aberdeen to Orkney and Shetland on Thursday night.

The next southbound service will be at 7pm tomorrow, sailing to Aberdeen.

The freight vessel Helliar, sailing for Kirkwall and Lerwick is due to depart at 5pm.

The Hildasay is to leave Lerwick for Aberdeen at 6pm.
