Ferry will not arrive until 2pm

The Northern Isles ferry Hrossey is expected into Lerwick at 2pm today, according to operators Serco NorthLink, after she sailed from Kirkwall at 8.30am this morning.

The Hrossay’s arrival in Kirkwall was delayed after she remained in Aberdeen till 7.30pm yesterday (Thursday) and then followed a more westerly route through the Moray Firth to avoid the worst of the swell.

Her sister ship the Hjaltland, meanwhile, arrived in Aberdeen ahead of schedule at 6.49am this morning and is scheduled to depart at 7pm tonight, sailing for Lerwick.

For further information please call NorthLink on 0845 6000 449.
