Weather causes ferry disruption

High winds and choppy seas are causing problems for ferry services between Lerwick and Aberdeen.

Southbound sailing of the Hrossey today is cancelled and tomorrow’s sailing of the vessel at 7pm is under review.

Serco NorthLink said an update will follow at 2pm tomorrow.

The Hjatland, which is due to arrive at Aberdeen at 1pm today, is due to leave Aberdeen at 11pm.

But sailing is under review and a decision will be made when the ferry arrives in Aberdeen.

Sailing of the freight vessel Hildasay is also under review.

It is scheduled to leave Aberdeen for Lerwick at 8pm.

Tomorrow it is due to leave Lerwick at 6pm but this is under review because of the weather.
