New booking system for north boats

Serco NorthLink Ferries has launched its new online booking system.

Customers are now able to book a number of services which were previously unavailable online, including meals, cots and kennels. The new system also recognises concessionary rates for over-60s, those in full-time education and disabled passengers. Once a booking is made, customers are able to view journey details and make amendments to bookings.

Serco NorthLink managing director Stuart Garrett said: “Continuous improvement is what we strive for and our newly improved booking system is a key part of this. Having reviewed the previous booking system, we recognised that the online customer experience could be enhanced.

“The aim is to ensure customers have a straightforward journey, right from the moment they make a reservation to when they step off our ship. We feel that these online improvements contribute significantly to ensuring this happens, and importantly, reflect the requests made by our customers for additional options.”

Serco NorthLink Ferries operates sailings from Scrabster to Stromness, as well as nightly sailings from Aberdeen to Lerwick.
