Car hanging off embankment after accident

A car was left hanging off an embankment after being involved in a road accident in the early hours of today.

The woman driver was taken to hospital but was uninjured after the one-car accident shortly after 3am.

The car came to rest on the main road near Frakkafield just up from the Brig o’ Fitch.

The accident came after three people escaped injury when the pick-up truck they were travelling in overturned at the top of the Scord hill near Scalloway on Friday.
