Ferry disruption

Ferry services between Lerwick and Aberdeen this weekend have been cancelled due to bad weather.

Serco NorthLink said today’s  northbound ferry the Hrossey will not sail to Shetland but leave Aberdeen for Kirkwall only, at 5pm.

Tomorrow the Hjaltland is scheduled to leave Aberdeen for Kirkwall and Lerwick at 5pm.

Southbound sailing of the Hjaltland is now due to leave at 4pm today.

Tomorrow’s southbound sailing to Aberdeen is cancelled.

Freight services are also affected, with the Hildasay‘s southbound sailing cancelled today.

She is next scheduled to depart Lerwick sailing for Aberdeen on Monday at 6pm.

The other freight boat Arrow, which is standing in for the Helliar, has also been cancelled with no northbound sailing to Lerwick today.
