‘Threatening’ man told to stay out of trouble

A man has been ordered to keep his nose clean for four months after attending his wife’s house while “clearly drunk”.

John Fraser, 41, of North Road behaved in a threatening manner when he turned up at the address in Nederdale on Monday.

Appearing from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court the following day, he admitted shouting, swearing, making threats and behaving aggressively.

Sentence was deferred until 28th October for Fraser to be of good behaviour. He was released on bail, with a special condition he does not attend his wife’s address. He was also ordered not to have any direct contact with her, unless invited to do so by her.
