Cars destroyed in blaze

Two cars were destroyed by fire this morning at the Hillhead car park and a third car was heat damaged.

The call to the fire services came just before 9am and two appliances from Lerwick responded. Firefighters used two hose reel jets and a main jet with foam to tackle the fire, which was under control in 20 minutes.

The last fire appliance left the scene shortly before 10am.
