Memorial bench roof slashed by vandals

Vandals have targeted a memorial at the Bell’s Brae Primary School in Lerwick.

Police said the canvas roof of the memorial bench, outside the ASN department in the area of the junction of Bell’s and Gilbertson roads, had been slashed during the incident.

The damage was believed to have been done some time between 9th and 15th August, before the schools resumed after the summer break.

The police are keen to speak to anyone with information regarding the incident. If anyone can help they are asked to phone the police on 101 and ask for the Lerwick station.
