Cup final encounters see Whalsay and Services victorious

A busy cup final afternoon was played out in Lerwick this weekend, with Whalsay B and Services tasting victory.

In the Association Cup final, Services faced Dynamo Chernobyl with an emphatic 8-2 win for Services.

Justin Watson scored five goals for the Emergency Services men, John Hutcheson got two and and Mikey Forrester was also on the scoresheet.

Kennedy Stewart and Neil Riddell got the goals for Chernobyl.

In the Bloomfield Cup encounter Whalsay won 3-2. Stuart Shearer scored two for the men in the red as well as an own-goal.

 

 

 

Thorfinn Craigie scored with a header for Celtic in the closing minutes of the match.

Sadly there was no cup presentation for the winners.

Instead Rocky the Pug posed with the Whalsay men in place of the cup.
