Hrossey sails early to avoid storm

The Northlink ferry Hrossey sailed for Aberdeen at 10am this morning only two-and-a-half hours after she arrived in Lerwick, owing to wind forecast to reach 60mph overnight.

Hrossey is estimated to arrive in Aberdeen between 10pm and 3am, according to Northlink.

Hjaltland is meanwhile sticking to her schedule and is due to sail north at 5pm today and is forecast to arrive in Kirkwall at 1pm before sailing to Lerwick where she is expected to berth at 9.30am tomorrow.
