Ferries delayed again

Both Northern Isles passenger ferries Hjaltland and Hrossey were stormbound in port this morning with Hrossey, which is scheduled to sail at 7pm, expected to depart Aberdeen as soon as the tide allows.

Hrossey check in times were listed by NorthLink as 5pm with final check in at 6.30pm. The vessel is expected to arrive in Lerwick between 7.30am and 12.30am tomorrow.

Owing to the continued bad weather, Hjaltland’s scheduled 5.30pm sailing from Lerwick is now estimated at mid-night with an estimated arrival time in Aberdeen of mid-day tomorrow. She will sail direct from Lerwick to Aberdeen and bypass Kirkwall owing to the weather. Check in time remains 5pm with a final check in time of 6.30pm.

The freight vessel Hellier’s scheduled 6pm sailing from Lerwick to Aberdeen has been cancelled. Hildasay remains scheduled to sail from Kirkwall to Aberdeen at mid-night, with arrival expected at 12pm tomorrow.
