Boy injured in collision with car

A man, 38, has been charged in connection with a road traffic collision which occurred at 6.30pm on Monday.

The incident, near the Lochside traffic lights, involved a black car and a 10-year-old boy, said police. The boy was taken to Gilbert Bain hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone who who witnessed the collision should contact Lerwick police via telephone on 101.
