Several charges denied

A man has been accused of stealing car keys and taking a car without its owner’s consent.

Peter Henderson, 34, of Kalliness, Weisdale, is charged with driving in Lerwick while disqualified, with no test certificate or insurance. Henderson is also alleged to have stolen groceries and a television set.

He is charged with failing to provide information to the officers once at the police station.

Henderson denied all charges when he appeared from custody before honorary sheriff Willie Shannon.

Trial was set for 26th May, with an intermediate diet on 26th April.

Henderson was released on bail.
