Officers are attempting to trace the driver of a small black 4×4 which overtook a cyclist on the A970 just south of the Laxo junction at around 9.45pm on Monday 16th, May.

Police are also appealing for witnesses to an incident in which two white Vauxhall Vivaro mini buses performed a number of careless overtakes.

They are particularly keen to speak to the female driver of a dark Volkswagen Golf who may have witnessed one of the reckless manoeuvres – which occurred on Thursday, 19th May between 5.30pm and 6.15pm on the stretch of road between Toft and Tingwall.

Any person with information regarding either of these incidents should contact the Lerwick Police Station on 101.
