Plane off Sumburgh runway

A plane went off the runway at Sumburgh Airport this afternoon.

The Dornier 328 aircraft was coming into land but ended up on the grass at the side of the runway. The incident happened at around 3.30pm and the aircraft was undertaking a training exercise.

There were two pilots on board who were not injured. There were some delays to scheduled flights as a result of the incident.
