Fire service called out to Lerwick house

Three fire engines were called out to a home in North Road, Lerwick, in the early hours of this morning.

An elderly woman living in the house next door had to be evacuated. No-one was hurt.

The call to the fire service came at 12.25am. The incident was under control by 2.30am and the last fire engine left at 5am.
