The Bressay ferry Leirna.

The Bressay ferry Leirna suffered engine failure for the second time in five days on Saturday morning.

According to the coastguard the vessel lost the power in one of her engines about 7am.

The Leirna headed to Lerwick where repairs were carried out and she was back in normal service fairly quickly.

The ferry first broke down on Tuesday when she went aground near the Bressay terminal and had to be towed off by the harbour tug Knab.
