Project Manager at University of the Highland and Islands

To support our work we are recruiting to the following role within the university, located in Shetland.
Project Manager: Shetland Tertiary Education Merger Project
£36,410 – £42,210 per annum
We are currently working with partners in Shetland to support the merger of Shetland College, NAFC Marine Centre and Train Shetland to create a new vibrant college that will effectively serve the tertiary education needs of the Shetland Islands. The partner institutions have agreed to work towards a target merger date of 6th January 2020 and we are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to play a central role in this process.
The Project Manager will provide leadership and direction throughout the merger implementation period, developing the Ministerial Merger Business Case while effectively managing the merger programme and associated workstreams. The post holder will support the Principal Designate and the Shadow Board of the new college to create the new college, ensuring continuity of service to the Shetland communities and successful delivery of the project strategic aims.
The Project Manager will be based 3-4 days each week in Shetland with an option to work from an alternative University site of the Highlands and Islands base during the rest of the working week.
