Charged with knife possession at ferry terminal

A man from Aberdeenshire has been charged with possessing a knife at Lerwick’s ferry terminal.

Marc Smith, of Inverbervie, appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday accused of having the blade without reasonable excuse at the NorthLink terminal in the town on the 30th March.

The 22-year-old entered a plea of not guilty and was released on bail.
